Local authorities and NGOs have been invited to submit proposals for the reduction of greenhouse emissions and climate change mitigation within the framework of an EU-funded project aimed at encouraging the implementation of the Covenant of Mayors in Belarus.
The project targets legal entities in the Belarusian cities that have signed the Covenant of Mayors, namely, Biaroza, Braslaŭ, Brest, Vietka, Viliejka, Viciebsk, Hlybokaje, Kličaŭ, Kobryn, Mahilioŭ, Navahrudak, Orša, Ašmiany, Polack, Rahačoŭ, Čavusy, Šarkaŭščyna.
Grants of between 7,000 and 10,000 euros will be available to NGOs, while local authorities will be able to receive between 35,000 and 45,000 euros.
