“Green Cross Belarus” NGO invites everyone to participate in the “Natural Faming on the School Grounds” Educational Workshop, which will be held on December 1-3.
The workshop is organised within the framework of the pilot “Creating a Network of Innovation and Demonstration Areas for Farming and Organic Agriculture to Promote Sustainable Land Use, Popularise Agricultural Labour Among Youth, Improve the Schoolchildren’s Nutrition and Income of Rural Schools” initiative, which is a part of the “Facilitation of Transfer to Green Economy for the Republic of Belarus” project financed by the European Union and implemented by the UN Development Programme.
The following topics will be discussed at the workshop:
- School Grounds Today: Presentations of Experimental and Project Activities on the School Grounds of Different Areas;
- Outcome Presentation for “Application of Liquid Green Manure in Organic Farming” Network Experiment;
- Natural Farming on the School Grounds;
- Composting and Vermicomposting on the School Grounds;
- School Grounds Integration into the Educational Process.
We invite representatives of schools and other educational facilities who are interested in the development of the school grounds and in the promotion of organic farming principles, to participate in the workshop.
Venue: “Green Cross Belarus” NGO, d. Krukaŭščyna, Smaĺjavičski raion.
Organisers cover the costs of food and accommodation.
Applications are accepted by November 27, 2016. The number of participants is limited.
