On October 25, the 2018 Erasmus + Programme bidding was opened. The next year's programme budget has been increased by Euro 200 mln amounting to Euro 2.7 bln.
As compared to 2017, there are more opportunities for university students to sign up for on-the-job training and digital skill building. The Erasmus Pro Initiative expands the long-term on-the-job training for students through vocational and educational training. The new School Exchange Partnership format will help schools better implement their cooperation projects.
The 2018 Erasmus + bidding offers the following key opportunities based on four higher-education tools to representatives of Belarus:
- Key Action 1: mobility for training individuals (credit mobility for university students and staff). Bid submission deadline: February 1, 2018;
- Key Action 1: joint master degrees. Bid submission deadline: February 15, 2018;
- Key Action 2: capacity-building in the sphere of higher education. Bid submission deadline: February 8, 2018;
—Jean Monnet activities. Bid submission deadline: February 22, 2018.
Moreover, Belarus representatives may take part in the Erasmus+ youth projects as partners of European organizations. This concerns youth exchange, seminars and training for young employees' skill building, the European Volunteer Service activities, strategic partnership and capacity-building projects of organizations working with youth.
