KEF 2016

The 4th Kastryčnicky Ekanamičny Forum was held in Minsk in the beginning of November. This year, the theme of the Conference is “Reforms for Inclusive Growth”.

Over 30 professionals – the famous foreign economists, the representatives of international financial companies, Belarusian state authorities, persons in charge of development and implementation of the reforms, as well as representatives of the Belarusian academic society and business – have been giving their speeches at KEF-2016 for two days (November 3 and 4, 2016). Among the speakers, there are Hans Timmer, the chief economist of the World Bank’s Europe and Central Asia region, the chief economist and the board member of Vnesheconombank of Russia, Dmitriy Sologub, the deputy chairman of the Board of the National Bank of Ukraine, Kirill Rudyi, the assistant of the President of the Republic of Belarus (2013—2016), and other leading international and Belarusian experts.

Kastryčnicky Ekanamičny Forum was broadcasted online at websites of KEF, TUT.by, and of “Idea” magazine (“Ідэя”).

The conference was organized by IPM Research Center in cooperation with BEROC Belarusian Economic Research and Outreach Center and CASE Belarus with contribution from the Association of European Businesses.

The conference was held with the support of the European Union, the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the US Agency for international development, the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, and the UN Development Program.

TUT.BY acted as the title media sponsor.

Kastryčnicky Ekanamičny Forum is a new open platform for a professional dialogue on Belarus’ sustainable development within the context of global economic development.
