A brochure on the Energy Days prepared for cities and towns – signatories of the Covenant of Mayors

Cities and towns participating in the Covenant of Mayors annually conduct energy saving and climate change outreach and awareness-raising activities: Energy Days. In the publication, Ecopartnership International NGO compiled recommendations for Energy Days events and the most remarkable examples of the previous years.

The Energy Days brochure follows the Q&A format and therefore it is very easy to navigate and search. The brochure discusses such issues, as the best timing for the Energy Days, potential activities for them, where participants may collect their gifts, how to use social media and how to do media outreach.

Photographs of the previous years’ Energy Days in Belarusian cities and towns were used as illustrations.

An electronic version of the brochure is available for download here.

The brochure was developed under the European Union funded project “Strengthening the Covenant of Mayors Movement in Belarus”.

By acceding to the European movement of the Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy, a city/town commits to reduce greenhouse gases by 30% by the year 2030. More than 45 cities and towns have already acceded to the Covenant. As part of their Covenant-related activities, cites/towns review greenhouse gas emissions in their areas and make action plans on sustainable energy development and climate.
