Belarusians with career-related interest in the European Union are invited to apply for the 2020 European Union Visitors Program (EUVP).
The European Union Visitors Programme provides young professionals an opportunity to visit the EU's institutions and get to know its policies, values, and people. As guests of the European Commission and the European Parliament, participants receive an individual 5-day study tour in Brussels tailored to their specific interests and professional profile.
Government officials, researchers, academics, journalists, trade unionists, officials of non-profit, non-governmental organisations and other professionals are eligible for participation. Participants are required to have completed their university education or equivalent training and to have been employed for several years in their chosen career field. They must be in their mid-twenties to mid-forties and have career-related interests in the European Union. The EUVP is not open to students.
If you would like to meet your EU counterparts and see how the EU institutions function, please apply by 5 April 2019. Please complete the following three forms and send them by email to the Delegation of the European Union to Belarus (delegation-belarus-press@eeas.europa.eu) with following subject line: Application for EUVP 2020.
- Statement of Purpose (To ensure that the individually-tailored program reflects your motivation for the visit and your professional interest, the statement should include a brief description of your current responsibilities, EU theme(s) you wish to examine, topics you wish to discuss, and ideas for potential meetings.) For guidance, please see this model statement of purpose: model_statement_of_purpose.doc
- Curriculum Vitae: euvp_model_cv.doc
- Application Form: 2020euvp_application_form.doc
The results of the selection process will be announced in the second half of the year 2019. The participants will then choose the dates of their study visits from a list of dates that will be offered to them.
