First inclusive festival takes place in Naliboсkaja pushcha

Inclusive festival "INФЕСТ" will be held in August 18 in Naliboсkaja Pushcha, in Valožyn district on the trail "Bielakoriec". The festival is part of the "Valožyn without barriers" project, which aims to create an accessible environment for people with disabilities.

Within the "Valožyn without barriers" project, the ecological trail "Bielakoriec" was equipped with information stands accessible to blind and visually challenged people and people with mental disabilities. Special cover and arbors with ramps make the trail convenient for people moving in a wheelchair. Besides, the participants and volunteers of the integration camp will help to organize and decorate the inclusive space for the festival. The camp will be held from August 14 to August 18 in the same place.

Presentations and stands of public organizations and initiatives dealing with the rights of people with disabilities will be presented at the festival "INФЕСТ". The festival will consist of several thematic zones. The Art zone offers the possibility to visit the children's theater, pottery workshops and master classes, making toys and handicrafts. The Sport Zone visitors will be able to participate in inclusive yoga and sports dances, learn how a manual bicycle works, and play board games.

The festival "INФЕСТ" will be closed by performances of Well-known Belarusian musical groups such as Akute, : B: N :, RSP and Tomato Jam.

During the whole event it will run the Food Court where there is an opportunity to try products of farmsteads, vegetarian food from "Monkeyfood" and desserts from "Eda ediniroga".

The changes in the Valožyn district happen thanks to the "Valožyn without barriers" project realized by The Valožyn district executive committee in cooperation with the Local Foundation for Promotion of International Dialogue and Cooperation “Interakcia”, the Belarusian Society of Disabled People, and the Belarusian Association of Rural and Ecotourism “Country Escape”. The project is funded by the European Union.
