International summer camp “ReThink Belarus”

Where: village Karniutki, Belarus (45 km from Minsk)

When: 8.-15.07.2018

One-week summer camp in a small Belarusian village is the place where you can learn more about Belarus and contribute to a dialogue on sustainable promotion of information about this country in the EU.

16 youth aged 20-35 from EU countries and Belarus come together to meet different points of view on the topic and learn from each other in an informal international environment. We are going to work on stereotypes and self-reflection on different examples of country image.

The two-dimensional project offers i) numerous discussions on different spheres of life in today's Belarus as well as ii) work camp activities. Every day before afternoon you will practice your manual skills helping the community of Belarusian handmade-lovers to arrange an old school building from 1930s for establishing there a social project. In the afternoon you will meet experts on the topics of economy, politics and history, as well as you will take part in informal activities aiming at providing a better understanding of Belarusian cultural code.

If you are keen to enjoy the nature living in a tent out of the big city, to contribute to a better Belarus’ image abroad as well as to help voluntary with a development of a local community in Belarus – join us this summer! To register, fill in this form until 26.05.2018. You will be informed on the selection results on 01.06.2018.

Project language is English. No specific skills or knowledges are required. For selected participants, the costs relevant to participation (travel contribution up to 130 euro, visa, accommodation, and food) will be reimbursed or provided to you.

The project is organized with the financial support of the European Union. Key information partner is www.adukacyja.info. Local support is from Karali team (www.karali.by). Contact person: Tanja Dashuk.
