Belarusian women can master IT-professions for free

The Center for Gender Studies of European Humanities University, with the financial support of the European Union, has launched a project for women who want to start or boost their career in the IT sector. The Women in Tech project is designed for participants who are experiencing a change of life circumstances and are looking for new areas of professional fulfillment" – according to the website of the initiative. The first event will be a Women’s forum and will take place on September 17.

The Women in Tech project is initiated by Belarusian women living in different countries for women who are looking for new areas of professional fulfillment in IT or interested in boosting their career.

Women in Tech offers online training in a variety of areas, including an introductory course to the industry. If you want to start a career in IT, but do not know how - take the course Login to Tech, the start of the first track is October 4. IT courses will also be organised for those who have decided on the future profession and already work in IT - they can go to a new level in their career with the help of mentor support.

The project starts with a Women’s forum on September 17, which can be attended online. Participants сan follow smart lectures on how to «repackage» their experience to enter a new sphere; how the community of like-minded people can help at the start and how to understand the intricacies of hiring in the IT field.
