The European Union, under the ‘EU4Belarus – SALT’ (Support for Advanced Learning and Training) programme, has announced a call for applications for financial support to take an online course and/or a qualification/international examination.
The competition is intended for repressed or threatened Belarusians of any profession, in Belarus or in forced emigration.
The courses must be aimed at learning one of the European languages or improving skills in a professional field. One person may take one course or pass one exam at a cost not exceeding €1,200. The online course must not start before 1 September 2022.
The application deadline is 23 June.
The programme is funded by the European Union under the special measures package ‘EU4Belarus: solidarity with the people of Belarus’. These measures were taken in response to the political crisis that unfolded after the presidential elections in Belarus. The aim of the programme is to contribute to strengthening Belarusian civil society as well as providing opportunities for sustainable economic development in the future.
