New projects selected by Poland–Belarus–Ukraine Cross-border Cooperation Programme

On 17th April 2019, during the meeting in Niasviž, Belarus, the Joint Monitoring Committee of the Programme (JMC) approved the results of the 2nd Call for Proposals. The Call was devoted to microprojects and was organized within the thematic objective HERITAGE.

The JMC decided to co-finance 74 projects out of 250 submitted applications. The total amount of awarded co-financing equals to 4,14 M EUR.

Since not the whole allocation foreseen for the second call (5,2 MEUR) was used, in relation to the remaining budget (at least 1 054 015,79 EUR) the JMC decided to launch the third call for proposals. The call shall be launched in the 4th quarter of 2019. It will be also devoted to microprojects and thematic objective HERITAGE.

During the meeting, the JMC discussed also current issues related to the implementation of large infrastructure projects’ and regular projects. In relation to the inactive projects it was decided that JTS will inform the JMC about the progress in their implementation and, where necessary, propose a deadline for submission of documents or commencement of activities. All project beneficiaries should inform the JTS about the savings generated within their projects.

The JMC decided also to move the amount of 176 881,55 EUR from the Programme technical assisstance budget to the thematic objective SECURITY in order to enable financing of the projects on the reserve list.

The JMC discussed plans for the information and promotion activities of the Programme and programming of its new 2021-2027 perspective.
