Newcomer trainers in the field of non-formal education will continue training at "School of educators"

The second module of the training course for local and regional trainers of "School of educators" within the project "Learn to act" will be held from 8 to 12 and from 14 to 18 September 2016 near Homel (recreation center Rancho). The main objective of "School of educators" is to develop of skills of local and regional experts for carrying out short-term educational programs (courses, lectures, seminars, workshops, etc.) based on active learning strategies. "The design of educational programs for adults" will become a subject of seminars for this time. About 44 newcomer trainers involved in adult education from all Belarusian regions will take part in training courses.

During workshops participants will become familiar with the learning theories, motivational, psychological and social characteristics of adult learning, the German experience and will be able to use this knowledge in practice for planning educational programs for target groups in their regions.

Trainers of the second module of "School of educators" consist of experienced Belarusian trainers in non-formal education and German specialist – the teacher from Public University of Cham (Bavaria, Germany).

Education within long-term training course "School of educators" includes hometasks, the first was carrying out by participants analysis of requirements of target groups in their regions.

During the work of "School of educators" participants have had an opportunity to enhance their knowledge about the features of adult education in Belarus and Germany, its significance in their own social context, civic education as one of the priorities for adult education.

Educational modules of "School of educators" are prepared on the basis of the Global Program of adult learning and education Curriculum GlobALE (developed by DVV International and German Institute for Adult Education), which defines the basic skills of teachers working in the field of adult education throughout the world. The principles and international standards of adult education, as well as the core competencies required of the scope of additional experts and non-formal education are reflected in the content and methodological components of "School of educators."

The long-term training course "School of educators" is held within the project "Learn to act", funded by the European Union and DVV International (from funds of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development). The three-year project aims to promote the right to education throughout life and civic participation.
