Support of the Republic of Belarus in the Area of Norms and Standards of Energy Efficiency of Consumer Goods and Industrial Products

To facilitate active promotion of its goods on the EU markets, Belarus needs to bring its industrial standards in compliance with EU standards that are largely focused on energy efficiency.  The project aims to enhance the competitive edge of the Belarusian economy and improve its environmental efficiency.

Support to Regional and Local Development in Belarus

Stolin District is a kind of pilot vegetable-growing center of Belarus, where new technology elements and vegetable types are tested and introduced. Rural residents grow vegetables and create jobs for themselves, their families and relatives.

Clima East Project: Support to Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation in Russia and Eastern Partnership Countries
The regional project will help the six Eastern Partnership countries and Russia to mitigate negative climate change implications, based on the countries’ national priorities. Improving Capacities to Eliminate and Prevent Recurrence of Obsolete Pesticides as a Model for Tackling Unused Hazardous Chemicals in the Former Soviet Union

As of now, there are still more than 10,000 tons of obsolete pesticides in the territory of Belarus; these pesticides are hazardous chemical substances that seriously threaten human health and the environment. A systemic approach to the process of their disposal would minimize the negative effect of hazardous wastes.

The Project would also make a contribution to the Green Economy – one of the key components of the country’s development.
